COVID-19 FAQ.

Here's what we're doing to help slow the spread of COVID-19. If you have any questions, feel free to give us a call at 616-243-9730.

We're making some big changes.

In an effort to continue to serve our community during the ongoing spread of COVID-19, we are drastically changing the way we do things. We want to do all that we can to serve our community, with safety for our staff and customers being our first priority. Read on for specifics regarding how we'll be going about retail purchases, small engine repairs, rentals, paint mixing, glass cutting, and window and screen repair.

We're shortening our hours.

Monday-Friday: 9am-6pm
Saturday: 9am-6pm
Sunday: 10am-4pm

Our doors will be locked during that time, and we will be controlling entry, requiring all customers to wear masks, and limiting the number of customers in the store to 10 at a time. Read below for more details on how things are going to go.

Call ahead, if you like.

We encourage customers to call ahead and place orders over the phone. If you get a busy signal, please try again in about 5 minutes. As you can imagine, we are experience an abnormally high call volume, and we are working our hardest to take care of every customer.

​When you get here, call from your car and we can walk your order out to you.

Ring the bell. Pick a mat. Come on in.

If you'd like to come into the store, please ring the doorbell and go stand on a mat. To remain in accordance with Michigan Executive Order 2020-42, we will have mats placed outside to ensure adequate distancing for customers and staff. We will not open the door until the customer is on a mat.

All customers must be wearing a mask, or equivalent face covering, to enter the store.

A member of our team will get the door, and if we are below our capacity of 10 customers, we will let you in. If we are at capacity, please be patient and wait on a mat until a customer leaves.

While you are in the store, please mind your distance from customers and staff. We will have marks on the ground to make it easy for you. If you take off your mask while in the store, we will ask you to put it back on. If you refuse to wear a mask while in the store, we will ask you to leave.

You must be wearing a mask to be in the store.

Retail Purchases

While we are now letting customers into the store to purchase items, you are more than welcome to continue to call in with your order. Here's how we're handling phone orders:
  • Give us a call at 616-243-9730 and give us your name, number, and let us know that you would like to make a purchase.
  • In order to prevent our phone lines from clogging up, we'll take names down, and call people back in the order calls are received.
  • We'll go down the list and call you back from a private number (we don't want to give out our employee's personal phone numbers).
  • Over the phone we will take a detailed order of what you need (and help you problem solve things as well).
  • We will hang up the phone and then go collect your order.
  • Once we've collected your order, we will call you back with a total and have you pay via credit card over the phone.
  • After you've paid, your order will be bagged and marked with your name and receipt.
  • Once you arrive, call us at 616-243-9730, and we will walk the order to your car.
  • If you are unable to pay with a card, we will accept cash from you in the parking lot, walk back to the store for payment processing, and walk out to your car with your change and order.

UPS Access Point

We will still be accepting labeled packages for drop-off. Simply leave them outside the door and call us at 616-243-9730 and we will take them inside.

If you have a package you need to pick up, call us at 616-243-9730 when you arrive in the parking lot, an associate will come out to meet you at your vehicle to verify your ID, then we will get your package and have you sign for it.

Small Engine Repair

We will still be repairing machines. Here's how it's going to go:
  • Bring your machine to the parking lot, ring the bell, and stand on a mat.
  • We will enter your repair into our system, and have you pay the $25 deposit.
  • Our staff will collect the machine, and give you a drop-off receipt. Our staff will help you unload the machine if needed.
  • Once the machine is repaired, we will give you a call back with the total, and we'll have you pay over the phone.
  • When you arrive to pick up your machine, ring the bell or give us a call at 616-243-9730, and our staff will bring the machine out to you with your receipt.

Screen and Window Repair

At this point in time, we are temporarily halting screen and window repair. Our shop is currently too full to accept new repairs at this time.

Small Engine Pick-up and Delivery

During this time, we are limiting our pick-ups and deliveries to within a 4 mile radius from the store. We are also reducing our rate from a per-mile charge to a flat rate of $20 to cover the cost of pick-up and delivery.
  • Call in advance to 616-243-9730 and leave your name, number, and that you'd like to schedule a pick-up.
  • We'll call you back from a private number, and you can explain the repair you need.
  • We will enter your repair into our system, and have you pay the $25 deposit via card over the phone.
  • When we are up to your repair in our shop, we will call you to schedule a pick-up.
  • When we have completed your repair, we will call you back, and will take payment for your repair over the phone.
  • Delivery time will be set up over the phone, and we will deliver your machine with a printed receipt.

Rentals

Beginning April 27, we will resume rentals of outdoor lawn and garden equipment. Due to the increased demand, we will not be allowing for holds or reservations on rentals. All rentals will be first come, first served. Here's how we'll handle rentals moving forward.
  • When you get here, ring the doorbell and pick a mat.
  • We'll come and get your MI Driver's License and credit card.
  • We'll make a copy of your license, and take an imprint of your card.
  • We'll have you sign the rental agreement and credit card imprint, then fetch the rental for you.
All rentals are sanitized with Lysol when returned.

Paint Mixing

We can mix any color you can imagine (or find at our competitors). We carry a wide selection of Valspar Paints, including: ​To order paint over the phone, click here to browse our color selection (or, if you have a color in mind from another store, you can give us the name of that color over the phone).
  • Find the color you would like, and give us a call and leave your name, number, and that you would like paint mixed.
  • We'll call you back from a private number for more details.
  • We'll hang up calculate a total for you order, call you back, and give you a total over the phone.
  • We'll charge you over the phone for your order, and then get to mixing!
  • Once you arrive, call us at 616-243-9730, and we will walk the order to your car with your receipt.
  • We will not mix paint without advance payment.

Glass Cutting

  • Give us a call at 616-243-9730, and leave your name, number, and that you need glass cut.
  • We'll call you back, and you can tell us what size piece of glass you need.
  • We will charge you over the phone for your order, and we'll cut the glass.
  • Once you arrive, call us at 616-243-9730, and we will walk the order to your car with your receipt.
  • We will not cut glass without advance payment.
